Honing other skills in game development
Well, to be honest, I’m not the best programmer but I feel I can cook solutions necessary depending on requirements. I’ve been doing this in college for different projects like a run-length encoder in assembly language, address book using double-linked list and serialization in Pascal, plotting 2D shapes in Turbo C++, etc.
But my major weakness is graphics design. Still, I’ll give it my all this year to see how far I can go with it. Before working on the framework and core programming challenges of the 2D spaceshooter, I just want to be more knowledgeable in creating sprites, animations and effects.
I’ll still give it a shot and if the artistic side never really shines then most likely, I’ll appreciate whatever progress I can make with it.
For now, I give you a bouncy ball I made in Photoshop I learned from an online course.
